RACO Electric Actuator Motor Quick Disconnect/Connector
Safe, Reliable Connections for Hard-to-Reach Actuators
Often times, electro-mechanical equipment is physically located in an area that is very hard to get to, or is in an ambient environment not suitable for lengthy installations nor replacements. Electric actuators are routinely installed in not-so-maintenance-friendly locations and even in places where dropping a wrench or screwdriver can be costly. RACO can provide an optional assembly to make the electrical and mechanical connections to the motor, safely and reliably. This design is compliant with UL, CSA, and NFPA70E.
Provides the safety of a disconnect switch
The RACO Quick Disconnect/Connector design is such that safe load breaking is achieved by a push button with spring loaded contacts. The built in arc chamber also helps to prevent outside exposure to arc flash. They are also approved by NEC as a Line-of sight Disconnect. Thus, no mechanical interlocks nor auxiliary disconnects are required. The RACO Electric Quick Disconnect/Connector is a safe and convenient Plug And Play device for use with the Actuators.
Reliable and Durable Performance You Can Trust
The RACO Motor Quick Disconnect/Connector isn’t just durable, it is engineered to meet strict compliance standards while delivering long-term reliability. Likewise the RACO Electric Actuator is constructed to these high standards as well. These units are typically constructed in water tight enclosures, and can carry NEMA 4X and IP66 or IP67 Protection Classes. Operating Temperature range is -40 degrees F to 140 degrees F. Size and Ratings are as follows:
- Rated Voltage: 480V AC, 3 Phase + GND
- Rated Current: 20 A
- Rated Motor Power: 5 HP / 3.67 kW
- Short Circuit Withstand: ≥10kA
- Voltage Withstand: 1000V + 200% of rated voltage
- Electrical Endurance: 6000 cycles @ rated current & voltage
