3.4 What standards govern actuator use in public works and civil engineering?

These standards are very strict.  Local Building codes, as well as State and Federal Agencies must approve and inspect any actuators used in the public domain.  UL, CSA, NFPA70, NEC, ANSI and also certifications that must be adhered to.
