THE LM RODLESS LINEAR ACTUATOR DESIGN FEATURES:
RACO’s LM-Series (Linear Module) are lightweight and robust-positioning systems. They can be easily configured into a wide variety of single and multi-axis motion-control applications.
Possible configurations include: single axis driven (or idler), a parallel linked single axis , X-Y axis system and/ or X-Y-Z axis systems. The LM is engineered for carriage speeds up to 200 inches per second with a single module load capacity of 800 lbs. and a stroke range of approximately 20 feet with a single extrusion. - Built with T-Slots & fasteners for more secure mounting and multi axis designs
- Selection of drive stations to customize the application
- Mechanical or inductive switches for Home reference and Over-travel Limits and protection
- A high strength steel cord reinforced polyurethane belt and shock absorbing elastomer tires on ball bearing wheels allow for normal loads up to 800 lbs. and side loads of 400 lbs.
- Cogged belt & pulleys are machined to be 0 degree backlash which can yield a repeatability of +/- 0.003"
- High precision 6063 aluminum alloy extrusion can handle carriage travel up to 20 feet without splices. Contact RACO engineering for longer travel applications
- Easy maintenance with external adjustments via tensioning bolts
- Belt pulley bearings are sealed to allow for operation in contaminated environments
